SenseNET: ANALOG, DIGITAL, CAN, SW-CAN, J1850, iso-9141

Mixed Mode In-Vehicle Data Acquisition with Vehicle Bus (J1850 Network Shown)

Vehicle Bus, Analog and Digital data acquisition in a compact unit.

Automotive test engineers find an increasing need to measure vehicle system voltages, sensors, transducers, and strain gauges concurrently with vehicle bus network data. SenseNET is a new test tool that enables the test professional to simultaneously measure and store these signals.

SenseNET is a compact data acquisition system that directly accepts analog voltages from millivolt levels for thermocouples and high side current shunts, through high level DC system voltages up to 20 VDC, without any additional external signal conditioning requirements. Analog signals from the vehicle’s sensors, encoders, hall effect and variable reluctance sensors, as well as industry standard CAN, J1850 and ISO9141 vehicle bus networks, feed directly into SenseNET. Data is stored with the same internally generated time stamps for ease and accuracy of data analysis.

SenseNET includes free Windows based control software for its operator interface, with additional third party software applications also available. System setup, including signal scaling and offset, input triggering, calculated channels, display features and file import and export, are easily performed with the included SenseNET software setup tool bar.

SenseNET BusAdapter™ technology provides access to vehicle data without requiring the installation of additional discrete sensors. SenseNET includes a database with 32 legislated PIDs (Bus Messages), which may be expanded to include thousands of additional vehicle bus messages. The included SenseNET software enables the user to download or create any valid CAN, J1850 or ISO9141 bus network transmit message and monitor any transmit and receive message traffic.
