Small and Rugged

 Cubic Labs’ FleetRecorder™ is small and  lightweight, easily fitting under a seat or in the glove compartment.  Designed to operate from -30 to +70 degrees Celsius, the Cubic Labs’ FleetRecorder™ is rugged and designed to  easily withstand the rigors of heavy duty vehicle use.

Automatic OBD Detect

 Cubic Labs’ FleetRecorder™ is the only vehicle flight recorder and data logger able to use Cubic Labs’ FleetLogic™ technology to         automatically determine vehicle network type, and automatically retrieve and record any preprogrammed network data, such as Vehicle Speed, RPM, or other legislated manufacturer PIDs.  Cubic Labs’ FleetRecorder™ also may be used to request, monitor, and retrieve any manufacturer’s proprietary network data.

Automatic PID Retrieval

 CubicLabs’ FleetRecorder™ automatically detects and supports any OBD network type, including: ISO-9141, Keyword 2000, CAN, J1850 PWM and J1850 VPW.  CubicLabs’ FleetRecorder™ with   FleetLogic™ is the only vehicle flight recorder and data logger available which can automatically retrieve any legislated PID data such as Vehicle Speed without having to reprogram the data logger hardware each time the product is used in a new or different vehicle.

Works in Any OBD-2 Vehicle

Set It and Forget It

 Once you choose to record a specific data item, such as RPM or Vehicle Speed, for example, you never need to reprogram CubicLabs’ FleetRecorder™ again.  Simply plug the FleetRecorder™ data logger into the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) connector of any vehicle – regardless of make and model – and instantly begin recording your data without any additional device setup, programming, or driver intervention of any kind.

Automotive Analog

 The CubicLabs’ FleetRecorder™ 16 bit Analog Input option provides 12 differential analog inputs with built-in signal conditioning, programmable gain,   programmable filtration, and programmable sample rates, all of which may be independently selected for each input channel.  This exclusive programmable signal conditioning technology from Cubic Labs is the only comprehensive analog input solution available for real world automotive test and measurement applications.  Cold junction compensation for thermocouples is built in.  For example, a pair of channels may be set up to read at millivolt levels for low level thermocouples or “high side” current shunts, while another channel may be independently set up to read a 5 Volt signal from a vibration transducer, and another    channel may be set up to read 13.8Volt battery voltages, all synchronously, without requiring any additional signal conditioning or additional “option” cards.

Universal Data File Format

 CubicLabs’ FleetRecorder™ converts all of your acquired data into engineering units in real time, for any data source (including vehicle  network data!) prior to on board storage.  Full linearization for common thermocouple types is also customizable for each analog input  channel.  This allows for maximum data storage capability for on board memory and optional removable SD memory cards, simplifies post-test analysis and makes importation of saved data by software packages such as Excel and Matlab a breeze.
